By registering for and attending the Living the Stories Retreat, you acknowledge that you have read and understand the Terms & Conditions, cancellation policy and provisions contained herein and accept the terms, conditions, policies, and provisions of this agreement.  You affirm, and we hereby rely on such affirmation, that you are 18 years of age or older and are fully able and competent to enter into the Terms & Conditions, obligations and affirmations of this agreement.  The individual(s) registering for this event represent and warrant that they have full authority to execute the Terms & Conditions of this agreement and to fully bind their respective organizations, groups, including all members and participants of this event to the provisions hereof.

All pricing is in U.S. dollars and based on the per person double occupancy (two people per room) or quad occupancy (four persons per room) rate.  ALL ROOMS ARE DOUBLE QUEEN BEDS.  A non-refundable deposit of $99 per person is required to register for this event.  Registrations are on a first-come, first-serve basis while supply lasts.  No refunds are issued for early check-out.

Final balances are due by January 15, 2025 All registrations not paid in full on or before January 15th are “subject to cancellation without notice.”  Balances cannot be paid at check-in.

All retreat passes and t-shirts will be distributed at the venue location prior to the retreat start time during on-site check-in.

All attendees are responsible for their own transportation to and from the retreat.

Attendees sharing a room must be married, immediate family members or friends of the same gender.

Children 12 and older are $99 each in a room with two paying adults.  Ages 11 and under are FREE with two paying adults – Meal Tickets are required for each FREE CHILD in attendance over the age of two years old.

The single Occupancy rate is $612.50.  Registrations for Single Occupancy are by phone, mail, or online.

As a courtesy to all guests, please observe quiet time hours from 11:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.

By registering for this event, you acknowledge that Ridgecrest does not employ medical professionals nor do they stock medical supplies or equipment on campus.  They will assist with first aid and public emergencies.

Pets are not permitted in any Ridgecrest facility, however, service animals as defined by ADA (“Americans with Disabilities Act”) regulations are permitted. ADA regulations define a service animal as “any dog that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability, including a physical, sensory, psychiatric, intellectual, or other mental disability.” Per the U. S. Department of Justice, “The crime deterrent effects of an animal’s presence and the provision of emotional support, well-being, comfort or companionship do not constitute work or tasks for the purposes of this definition.” Such animals are not service animals and are, therefore, not permitted in any Ridgecrest facility. Service Dog Fraud is a crime under NC: 168-4.5 Penalty: It is unlawful to disguise an animal as a service animal in training…Violation of this section shall be a Class 3 misdemeanor.

Cooking appliances including but not limited to crock-pots, hot plates, and toaster ovens may not be brought onto Ridgecrest’s campus due to food safety and fire safety concerns. Guests violating this policy are subject to a $250.00 fee. 

Ridgecrest implements the following standards help to assure the comfort of their guests: Alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, firearms, and fireworks are not permitted anywhere on the grounds. The use of tobacco and tobacco-related products, including electronic nicotine delivery systems (vaping), is prohibited. Immodest clothing, distasteful monograms, bare feet in public areas, or any extreme style of dress is prohibited. Please do not leave money or valuables in your room as Ridgecrest is not responsible for lost items. Safety Deposit bags are available at the Registration Desk in Pritchell. Wheelchairs are not available for rent.

Image and Sound Release: By registering for this event you are granting permission for all persons on your registration to be professionally photographed, audio and/or video recorded and releasing Ridgecrest Conference Center, Tribute Quartet, Living the Stories Retreat, and/or any of their affiliates, officers, employees and authorized agents from liability, restrictions, conditions or any compensation for obtaining these images and sounds which may be used in future promotional materials.

Indemnity: By registering for and/or attending this event you generally and specifically release and hold harmless Tribute Quartet dba Living the Stories Retreat, their officers, agents and employees from any liability and claims for large or injury. You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless their parent corporations, subsidiaries and affiliates, officers, directors, shareholders, employees, consultants, planners, and agents, from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs or debt, and expenses (Including but not limited to attorney’s fees) arising from (I) a violation by you of any term of this agreement; (II) a violation by you of any third party right, including without limitation any copyright, property, or privacy right, while attending the event. This obligation for defense, indemnification and holding harmless will survive the termination or expiration of this event.

Waiver of Liability & Assumption of Risk: While attending the event on the grounds of Ridgecrest Conference Center you agree to exercise care and caution in using the facilities, grounds, and equipment solely for their intended purposes and acknowledge and agree that you assume the risks inherent in the facilities, grounds, equipment, and activities and will pay for any damage to the facilities, lodging rooms, grounds or equipment that you cause; and expressly waive and release Tribute Quartet dba Living the Stories Retreat and/or any of their affiliates, employees and authorized agents from liability from any injury or loss occasioned by attending this event.

Use of Discretion:  Living the Stories Retreat reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to remove or refuse admission to any person who is being disruptive, argumentative or unduly loud during sessions or non-compliant with the Terms & Conditions of this event.

Governing Law:  The Terms & Conditions of this agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Tennessee.  You irrevocably waive any objection you may have based on improper or inconvenient jurisdiction, venue, or forum.

Severability:  If any provision or term of this agreement should be held legally unenforceable for any reason, all remaining provisions and terms shall remain in full force and effect.

By submitting your registration by mail, by phone, online or in-person, you acknowledge you have full authority to bind all persons on your registration to accept the terms, conditions, and provisions listed above; are 18 years of age and older, and are fully able and competent to enter into the terms, conditions, obligations, and affirmations listed above.  Upon arrival at the event, each person in attendance will be required to acknowledge by signature the acceptance of the terms, conditions, and provisions disclosed on this page in order to attend the event.

 

***CANCELLATION POLICY***

We understand situations can arise prohibiting the attendance of registrants at the retreat.  In order to accommodate unexpected emergencies, the following cancellation policy will apply without exception to all cancellations:
All requests for refunds of any type must be requested in writing within 30 days of the first day of the event.
All refunds will be issued approximately 30 days after the conclusion of the retreat.

Cancellations received before September 1, 2024 – Will receive a refund by check of 50% of monies paid toward your registration LESS all non-refundable deposits.
Cancellations received between September 1, 2024, and December 10, 2024 – Will receive 25% of monies paid toward your registration LESS all non-refundable deposits made issued to you in the form of a credit towards any future Living the Stories Retreat.
No cancellations after December 10, 2024,  Our room block is final, therefore we are unable to accommodate cancellations after that date.  We can transfer your registration to another attendee should there be someone who is able to take your place at the retreat.

In the event of a National, State, or Local Government emergency prohibiting and/or impeding the commencement of this retreat, the retreat will be rescheduled and all registered attendees will be notified.
